Dive Saint Helena engaged in many interesting questions and conversations from potential visitors at the UK dive show 2018 held at the NEC Birmingham UK this weekend.
Craig from Dive St Helena travelled from St Helena via Jo burg to London where he was met by Jonathan Clingham to represent Dive St Helena and St Helena tourism at the show on the weekend of the 27th 28th October.
Dive show attendees and tour operators from Europe, Scandinavia and the Middle East were fascinated by what the St Helena tourism stand 432 had to offer the diving enthusiast at the dive show.
Many conversations not only engaged interest about diving but also about other possibilities to do on St Helena. Many tour operators and clients alike are keen to visit St Helena as St Helena offers something different, something new and be spoked to the dive world and the travel industry.
Dive Saint Helena have also been invited to look at other opportunities of marketing St Helena diving with two potential opportunities in rotation to capture this year’s whale shark and summer season to enable the sharing of the St Helena marine and diving experience. Craig also was asked to do a media promotion to a global media brand on St Helena’s diving potential, incidentally this was something he hadn’t done before.
We have also learnt many things over the last few days from the show and from other destinations like St Helena, some of these observation included marketing Strategy’s and a diving portfolio in the market place all of the information will be collated into a mini report to feed back into the St Helena tourism for their data collection and review.
