Dolphin Trips

This is provided all year round. In a dolphin pod we are likely to see between 400 - 600 dolphins. Dolphin trips normally take place at round 09.30 hours for two hour duration. Dolphins found around St Helena are Pan-tropical, bottle nose and rough-tooth species.

Humpback Whale Trips

A seasonal offering. Humpback Whales visit our Island from around June to December each year. It is very common to find a mother and calf in the Egg Island area during this time. Mature Humpback Whales can grow up to 16 meters and are reported to live around 48 years.

Whale Shark Trips

A seasonal offering and is one of St Helena’s biggest tourist attractions. Through study it is found that adult whale sharks make a yearly trip to St Helena between January and April. In the last 3 years we have recorded daily numbers ranging between 15 and 20 of our coast lines. This is a “to do” on anyone’s bucket list. We can provide you with viewing trips or a once in a life time (or as many times as you can in one holiday) swimming trips with these majestic fish. (please note our whale sharks are protected by local law and all interactions takes place within its guidelines).

Sea Bird Watching

A 45 minute coastal cruise will take you towards Egg Island where you will always be guaranteed to see our local colonies of sea birds. Although they are found on other small Islands around St Helena Egg Island provides the best viewing opportunity.

Snorkelling

For those of you who do not scuba dive, snorkelling is always an option. We have many shallow reefs and wrecks that will fulfil your marine experience.

Whilst taking trips to view specific marine wildlife you may also encounter on a boat trip; devil rays, green and hawksbill turtles and too many more to mention.

Coastal Cruises

If you are tired with all of the touring and activities, we can also offer you relaxing coastal cruises with our most popular being the sunset cruise. Why not take a leisure ride along the coast of St Helena and watch our magnificent sunsets, view our birds and our seasonal humpback whales. Refreshments available on request.
